This small, diminutive perennial herb grows as a rosette and is found infrequently along the cliff top at Jan Juc. Whilst it could well have been a component of the native grassland that is also found near the cliff face; Solenogyne is more likely to be seen these days in bare, seasonally damp areas associated with Moonah Woodland, This is at least partly due to the coastal cliff top areas experiencing less modification and disturbance from foot traffic,
Leaves are best described as dark green above and paler below. The margins are gently toothed toward the apex and the leaf shape is oblong to narrow-obovate.
Flowers are typical of the Daisy family and are held erect on flower stalks that lengthen as seed has been produced. These are relatively inconspicuous and are made up of a greenish centre with magenta ray florets making up the outer part of the daisy flower.
